Local governments and water departments around the country are being bled dry to the tune of billions of dollars through toxic financial deals pushed on them by Wall Street profiteers before the financial crisis.

While these Wall Street speculators get rich, cash-strapped water departments and local governments like in Flint are being forced to take desperate measures to slash costs – often with disastrous results.

We need to root out the “toxic swaps” Wall Street is using to drain money out of our cities – BEFORE the next Flint happens.

The SEC has already found fraud in similar predatory debt deals sold to investors.  It just needs to launch an investigation into the deals peddled to our cities.

Sign the petition to tell the SEC: “Investigate the ‘toxic swaps’ Wall Street is using to impoverish our cities and towns – and make bankers return all ill-gotten profits from deceptive and fraudulent sales.”
