Don't be fooled by bogus reform. Tell Congress: we want to end mass surveillance, not legalize it.
The NSA's biggest cheerleaders in Congress are trying to fool the American people into supporting a bill that would make it easier for the NSA to spy on Americans. We're teaming up with our friends at The Other 98% to make sure that doesn't happen.
Authored by the NSA's favorite Senator, Dianne Feinstein, the "FISA Improvements Act" uses squishy PR language to give the impression that it reins in the NSA. But in reality, it's a pro-surveillance bill dressed up as reform. Rather than banning bulk data collection, it legalizes it!
Meanwhile, the USA Freedom Act, backed by all of the NSA's most prominent opponents on both sides of the aisle, would ban the NSA's bulk data collection program.
Sign to the right to tell Congress: We won't be fooled by bogus reform. Support the USA Freedom Act now. (It's a joint action with Other 98%)
The USA Freedom Act has 16 cosponsors in the Senate and over 70 in the House. It's supported by the ACLU and the companies responsible for protecting our data -- like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Apple.
We can pass it. But we need to make sure our lawmakers know we want real reform, not Feinstein's trojan horse -- which amounts to a rubber stamp for the NSA to go on spying on Americans.
