I'm going to attend the Boston rally for Aaron Swartz
In mid-April Aaron Swartz's trial should have been coming to an end. So we're holding a rally to hold his prosecutors accountable and call for Congress to reform the law he was charged under -- and to oppose a recent proposal to harshen the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
If we're going to win, we need you to stand for Aaron, and demand the systems that persecuted him be fixed.
DATE: Saturday, April 13th
TIME: 12 pm
PLACE: Dewey Square Park (map)
We're going to meet at Dewey Square Park, and hear from Aaron's partner, Taren Stinebrickner-Kauffman, Harvard Law Professor Yochai Benkler, noted author and attorney Harvey Silverglate, and others about the need to reform the U.S. Attorney's Office and the CFAA, and then march to the Moakley Courthouse. Aaron should never have faced indictment - let's reform the laws and structures that caused this injustice.
