Tell Senators: Support the Save the Internet Act!

We urge you to support the Save the Internet Act -- and support the unanimous consent request to allow a vote on this crucial legislation to restore net neutrality across America.

There's breaking news in the battle for net neutrality: Next Tuesday, Senators will use a special procedure to attempt to force a vote on the Save the Internet Act to restore protections.

Next week also marks the two-year anniversary of the FCC's disastrous vote to end net neutrality. Since the repeal went into effect, we've seen Verizon throttle firefighters' 'unlimited' data in the midst of a massive wildfire1 and other frightening reports of internet providers' widespread slowing of online traffic.2

We need you to tell your Senators to support the unanimous consent request to allow a vote on the Save the Internet Act — and to call out any senator who tries to block the vote, including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Can you help?

Add your name: Tell your Senators to support the Save the Internet Act and the push to force a vote next week!

Despite McConnell’s ongoing obstruction, we know net neutrality has massive bipartisan support outside Washington. And Republican senators have once before shown they are willing to buck their leadership and vote for net neutrality. Just last year, Senate Republicans helped successfully pass a resolution overturning the FCC.

This year, the House passed the Save the Internet Act, which would restore the protections gutted by Chairman Ajit Pai and the Trump FCC — protections that ensure giant internet providers like Comcast and Verizon can’t block or slow traffic at their choosing.

Immediately after the Save the Internet Act passed the House, McConnell declared net neutrality "dead on arrival" in the Senate. McConnell has so far refused to allow a vote on the bill, instead siding with the telecom industry and its lobbyists. However, it's critical we keep fighting — McConnell and Big Telecom shills in Washington, D.C. must be reminded that the public will not quit when it comes to restoring a free and open internet.

We can't let the telecom industry and its army of lobbyists dominate this discussion — your Senators need to hear that you want them to support this effort. Will you help?
