Tell American Airlines: Stop booking full flights during the pandemic!

    Petition to American Airlines:
Stop putting our health and safety at risk by booking full and over-sold flights during the pandemic!

American Airlines cares more about putting butts in their seats than do their part to stem an already out of control pandemic.

Starting this month, American Airlines, and a few other minor airlines, announced that they’ll resume booking 100% of their seating capacity.1 This makes social distancing impossible on a flight. The CDC and Dr. Anthony Fauci have already lambasted American Airlines for their gross disregard for spreading the highly infectious coronavirus. Now it’s American Airlines hears from you!

Tell American Airlines: Stop booking full flights during the pandemic!

Spending a prolonged amount of time indoors with other people and not maintaining at least 6 feet of distance is already one the riskiest ways to get infected with the coronavirus. That’s exactly what a flight is.

Rather than prioritize public safety and prevent the spread of COVID-19, American Airlines would rather make as much money as they can right now and book flights to full capacity.

It’s not just customers who are in danger of exposure to COVID-19, flight crews and flight attendants have to operate these crowded flights, and risk spreading COVID-19 to passengers, co-workers and eventually their own families.

It’s clear the airline industry can’t be trusted to regulate itself during a never-before-seen global public health crisis.

But if American Airlines hears from enough potential customers just like you, they’ll feel the pressure to enact social distancing on all their flights.
