They've been forced to go to such lengths because Demand Progress and its members have stymied their Internet censorship agenda. They're terrified that we -- just a bunch of people who care deeply about civil liberties and Internet freedom -- might actually beat them.

We've pushed them to the brink by generating more than 750,000 constituent contacts to lawmakers, hiring a lobbyist to fight for our members in the halls of the Capitol, and hitting censorship proponents hard in the press.
