Drone Lobby Cites Civil Liberties As Top Business Challenge: Prove Them Right

Like it or not, the drones are coming.  Congress and President Obama just enacted a law that forces the Federal Aviation Administration to prepare regulations that open the sky up to commercial drones within a few years.

Namely: What happens when one of these things starts following you to and from work and staring at you through your bedroom window?

Amazingly, the Drone Lobby just issued a report in which it cites Americans' concerns about civil liberties as a top business challenge:

The drone industry eagerly anticipates that civil drone use, including use of drones for “suspect tracking” by law enforcement, will soon eclipse military use of drones. Under a section called “Challenges facing UAS,” the lobbyists warn that they face concerns about “Civil Liberties.”

Will you help us prove them right, and demand that the FAA adopt sensible privacy regulations as this process moves forward?

PETITION TO THE FAA: As you implement drone regulations we urge you to heed the concerns of groups like the ACLU and Center for Democracy and Technology, implementing policies which protect the privacy of ordinary Americans.

Just sign on at right to demand the FAA adopt drone privacy regulations.
