The intelligence industry’s lackeys in Congress are mobilizing to preserve the NSA’s bulk spying programs – completely ignoring the voices of Americans, who have loudly denounced the NSA’s invasive and unconstitutional surveillance powers.
Democratic Senator Diane Feinstein, who leads the Senate Intelligence Committee, and Saxby Chambliss, the top republican on the panel, are pushing through a bill that would “change but preserve” the NSA’s domestic phone-spying program. Those “changes” are of course minimal. The bill is designed to shutdown debate and fortify the NSA’s spying programs behind a wall of legality and toothless oversight.

PETITION TO SENATE MAJORITY LEADER HARRY REID: The Feinstein-Chambliss bill would give the NSA a green light to trample on the rights of the American people. We demand that you kill this sham bill and support legislation that really ends broad domestic surveillance and bulk data collection.
NSA Director Keith Alexander recently told Congress he wanted even more access to American's phone records, saying, "I believe it is in the nation's best interest to put all the phone records into a lockbox that we can search."
The NSA could clearly care less about the privacy and constitutional rights of Americans. It’s up to our ‘representatives’ in Congress to rein them in. But Feinstein’s bill would do the opposite, by preserving the worst elements of the NSA’s spying programs, silencing critics, and shutting down further debate. Let’s make sure they know, we won’t be silenced.
Sign to the right to tell Senate leadership: Don’t let Feinstein and the NSA’s lackeys in Congress rip-off the American people.
