Petition to Congress:
Unlike every major candidate for president in the past 40 years, Donald Trump has refused to disclose his tax returns, depriving the American public of critical information about the country’s top elected official. Please pass the Presidential Tax Transparency Act (S.26 / H.R.305) to require Trump and all future presidents to disclose their tax returns publicly.
After promising all campaign long to release his tax returns after a supposed IRS audit was done, right after he took power his adviser Kellyanne Conway said Trump would not be releasing his returns after all – a massive broken promise.
Trump has stated, “I think people don't care” about his tax returns – even though 74% of Americans say he should release them publicly.1
But Congress has the power to put an end to the lies, delays, and excuses. The Presidential Tax Transparency Act would require any sitting president – including Trump – to release the most recent 3 years of their tax returns publicly, through the Office of Government Ethics.
Sign the petition to tell Congress: Pass the Presidential Tax Transparency Act to require Trump to release his tax returns.
