    The Letter:

Tell JetBlue, Delta, and American Airlines to stop using facial scanning technology on passengers!

Chances are you or someone you know and love is flying the week of July 4th. And if they’re flying JetBlue, Delta, or American Airlines, you or loved ones might be in for a shock.

JetBlue, Delta, and American Airlines are now collecting invasive biometric face scans from passengers in order to board their flights.1 Tell the Vice Presidents of these airlines: Stop using facial scanning technology on passengers!

Biometric facial scans are NOT a TSA requirement to pass airport security, so why are they necessary for JetBlue, Delta, and American Airlines?

None of these airlines have gone public about why this personal data is necessary, how they plan to protect passengers’ biometric data from hacking attempts, or whether or not the government or any other 3rd party will have access to passengers’ faces.

This is just the beginning of an increasingly alarming trend to normalize invasive facial scanning technology. Already the city of San Francisco, home to many tech giants, has banned police and city government from using facial scanning technology because it’s so damaging.

Tell the Vice Presidents of JetBlue, Delta and American Airlines to immediately stop using biometric facial scans on passengers!
