Block the Trump-backed Paramount media takeover!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to block Paramount's deal to buy Warner Brothers. The merger violates antitrust laws, would hurt consumers and artists, and poses serious ethical concerns.
Warner Brothers owns CNN. Trump counts CNN as an enemy. Now, the Trump administration is cheering on Paramount's $111 billion proposed merger with Warner Brothers, specifically because Trump allies will take control of CNN.1
Paramount CEO David Ellison, who has already put his right-wing stamp on CBS, put together the bid with Saudi backing to take over Warner Brothers and CNN.2,3
Trump's FCC chair Brendan Carr championed the Paramount-Warner Brothers merger as part of Trump's war on journalism. Carr said, "President Trump took on the fake news media and President Trump is winning."4 Congress must stop this media monopoly nightmare and stop Trump allies from taking over American news.

Trumpworld helped scuttle a Netflix deal with Warner Brothers and put its backing behind Paramount’s bid.5 Now, CBS and CNN staffers fear “disaster” as Paramount prepares to run Warner Brothers.6

Pro-Trump allies are mounting a media takeover to grab even more power for the administration’s far-right propaganda machine. Congress must step in as the Trump admin tries to push this deal through.
