Stop Trump's wasteful, dangerous MAGA vanity projects!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to support bills to keep the president's face and signature off of U.S. currency, keep his name off of federal buildings, and protect institutions like the Kennedy Center. We urge you to block the construction of the White House ballroom, triumphal arch, and other wasteful, self-serving Trump administration projects.
Trump put his cronies all over the government to rubber-stamp his authoritarian agenda — including a remodeling of D.C. to fulfill his far-right "Golden Age" vision for America.
Trump has wasted $1.8 billion in taxpayer funding for these vanity projects,1 from his grotesque White House ballroom and gold-plated D.C. statues to the ridiculous, failed reflecting pool renovation and plans for a dangerous military-equipped "triumphal" arch.
After judges ruled he couldn't slap his name on the Kennedy Center, Trump and his loyalists have been trying to sabotage, shutter, and demolish the cultural institution. Now, his DOJ is claiming "executive privilege" to keep Trump's role in this nefarious scheme a secret.2 Congress must protect the rule of law and tax dollars from Trump's grotesque vanity projects.
Sign the petition: Block White House ballroom construction and save the Kennedy Center! Stop Trump's right-wing renovations of America.
Arlington County recently sued to stop Trump's arch plan over concerns for public safety. The flight attendants union also came out against the arch due to unaddressed aviation safety issues.3,4
Trump has shown he will disregard safety and the law to plow ahead with his construction projects.
That's why he continues trying to find ways around court rulings to do whatever he wants with the Kennedy Center. And it's why his DOJ continues covering for his illegal actions. Congress must finally thwart Trump's wasteful MAGA renovations.
