    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to support bills to keep the president's face and signature off of U.S. currency and keep his name off of federal buildings. We urge you to block the construction of the White House ballroom, triumphal arch, and other wasteful, self-serving Trump administration projects.

    Trump plans to break ground on his "triumphal arch." It's his latest law-breaking MAGA monument to glorify himself — and waste taxpayer money.1

    The Trump administration rushed to demolish the east wing of the White House and construct the gold-plated ballroom, costing taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. And the Supreme Court allowed it despite Chief Justice John Roberts declaring the construction as "likely unlawful."2

    The list goes on and on. The Treasury minted a coin with Trump's face on it, again trampling on the rule of law.3 Trump impressing his MAGA stamp across the country is a direct threat to our democracy and a massive waste of tax dollars.

    Rep. Don Beyer said of Trump's plans to build the arch, "The administration has not won the legal battle over the proposal, which is plainly illegal without congressional authorization."4

    Trump is threatening to bulldoze the Kennedy Center if he can't conduct his renovations, even though the cultural institution was established by Congress. He's diverting national parks funds to pay for his ridiculous arch. Florida even named an airport after him.5,6,7 Trump is determined to remake America in his far-right image.

    Congress needs to take action to stop Trump's illegal, wasteful self-serving actions now.
