Block Trump's authoritarian vanity projects and save the Kennedy Center!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to support bills to keep the president's face and signature off of U.S. currency, keep his name off of federal buildings, and protect institutions like the Kennedy Center. We urge you to block the construction of the White House ballroom, triumphal arch, and other wasteful, self-serving Trump administration projects.
A judge just ordered that Trump's cronies on the board of the Kennedy Center must reveal documents related to Trump's secretive scheme to shutter and bulldoze the center.1
A lawsuit led by Rep. Joyce Beatty has fought Trump's illegal attempt to do whatever he wants with the Kennedy Center. In his latest effort to sabotage the institution, Trump claimed the center is a "great danger to anyone who walks inside." Yet musicians have been rehearsing in the center every day without issue.2
Trump's loyalists voted in December to illegally add his name to the Kennedy Center. His appointees on the Commission of Fine Arts "approved" plans for an illegal military-equipped "triumphal" arch in D.C. that the flight attendants union opposes for unaddressed aviation safety issues.3 Congress must take a stand and reject all of Trump's self-serving, wasteful, dangerous construction projects.

Trump is rushing to build his $600 million White House ballroom even though Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts said it was likely unlawful.4
He's also preparing to illegally break ground on the massive D.C. arch. Rep. Don Beyer said, "The administration has not won the legal battle over the [arch] proposal, which is plainly illegal without congressional authorization."5
Trump is wasting taxpayer dollars to make his MAGA "Golden Age" renovations of the nation's capital, and Congress needs to put an end to it.
