We urge you to support bills to keep the president's face and signature off of U.S. currency, keep his name off of federal buildings, and protect institutions like the Kennedy Center. We urge you to block the construction of the White House ballroom, triumphal arch, and other wasteful, self-serving Trump administration projects.
Trump is threatening to demolish the Kennedy Center because the courts won't let him put his name on it. Now, he's trying to slap his name on Ford's Theatre.1,2
Reporting just broke that the first architect of Trump's $600 million White House ballroom resigned because Trump refused to follow basic building safety codes in the design.3
Trump is holding a "Golden Age" event tomorrow with Elon Musk, Palantir and AI executives, and his far-right loyalists. Trump said he would "reveal a bold vision for our nation's next 250 years."4 Our lawmakers must reject Trump's MAGA vision, pass legislation to protect the Kennedy Center, and stop Trump's authoritarian construction projects.

Trump is flushing hundreds of millions of tax dollars down the drain to fund his self-serving projects: gold-plated ballrooms and statues, the cemented over Rose Garden, a giant illegal military-equipped "triumphal" arch, a botched reflecting pool renovation, the potential destruction of the Kennedy Center, and U.S. coins with his face on them.
Trump is holding $256 million in funding for the Kennedy Center hostage while he tries to destroy it.5 Senator Jeff Merkley is introducing a bill to prohibit the demolition of presidential memorials that were designated by Congress, including the Kennedy Center.6
Our lawmakers must take action to stop Trump's disastrous abuses of power, absurd waste of taxpayer dollars, and MAGA remodeling of D.C.
