Protect the Kennedy Center! Block Trump's illegal White House ballroom and triumphal arch NOW
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to support bills to keep the president's face and signature off of U.S. currency and keep his name off of federal buildings. We urge you to block the construction of the White House ballroom, triumphal arch, and other wasteful, self-serving Trump administration projects. We also urge you to protect the Kennedy Center and demand that the White House releases funding for the center.
Trump is holding $256 million in funding for the Kennedy Center hostage. His sycophants on the Kennedy Center Board voted to shutter the institution due to financial issues that Trump created. The vote came just hours after a judge again blocked Trump's name from appearing on the center.1,2
Thousands of protesters gathered around the Kennedy Center on Friday in response to Trump's threats to outright demolish the building.3
Trump plans to illegally build his "triumphal" arch in D.C., which he says would include a military complex with snipers and drones.4 He's speeding ahead with construction of the grotesque White House ballroom. Our lawmakers must act now to stop Trump from remodeling the country in his MAGA image.

Trump is flushing hundreds of millions of tax dollars down the drain to fund his self-serving projects: gold-plated ballrooms and statues, a giant arch, a botched reflecting pool renovation, the potential destruction of the Kennedy Center, illegally minting U.S. coins with his face on them, and so much more.
It doesn't end there. The White House and Trump's loyalists are pursuing an endless stream of measures to glorify Trump and remake America in his strongman image, including efforts to "immortalize" him by putting his face on Mount Rushmore.5 His MAGA allies even used $5.5 million to rename a major Florida airport, "Donald J. Trump International Airport."6
Congress must act now to stop Trump's dangerous, anti-democratic self-glorification.
