    Block Trump's ballroom, keep his name off the Kennedy Center, and stop all attempts to remake America in his authoritarian image!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to support bills to keep the president's signature off of U.S. currency and keep his name off of federal buildings, and to oppose legislation to put the president's face on currency and Mount Rushmore. We urge you to block the construction of the White House ballroom and other wasteful, self-serving Trump administration projects.

    The right-wing Supreme Court just gave Trump permission to keep building his $600 million White House ballroom.1

    Chief Justice John Roberts said Trump could continue building while the Supreme Court considers the White House's "emergency" appeal of a lower court decision to block construction.2 Trump is dead set on building this shrine to his authoritarian rule, no matter how much taxpayer money he wastes.

    Trump's loyalists are also actively circumventing a federal court ruling that ordered the removal of Trump's name from the Kennedy Center.3 Trump wants his name, face, and far-right stamp on the nation's landmarks. It's a direct threat to our democracy, and Congress must stop him.

    Trump's cronies on the Kennedy Center's board voted to add an inscription reading, "Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump" just below the building's name, and officially call the area outside the cultural institution the "President Donald J. Trump Plaza."4

    Rep. Joyce Beatty, who sued to stop the illegal name change at the Kennedy Center, said, "This latest development is a transparent effort to circumvent the court's ruling, and flies in the face of the statutes that Congress passed."5

    Trump and his loyalists are pursuing an endless stream of measures to glorify Trump and remake America in his strongman image, including efforts to "immortalize" him by putting his face on both a $250 bill and Mount Rushmore.6,7 His MAGA allies even used $5.5 million to rename a major Florida airport, "Donald J. Trump International Airport."8

    Congress must act now to stop Trump's dangerous, anti-democratic self-glorification.
