    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to stop ICE from using Palantir’s mass surveillance to track and target immigrants. We also urge you to stop the White House’s effort to compile a master list of personal information on all Americans through mass data collection and surveillance.

    ICE is using super-charged mass surveillance tools to surveil, track, and target immigrants. And Palantir, the Big Tech corporation founded by Trump mega-donor Peter Thiel, is profiting.

    Palantir has lucrative contracts with the Trump administration to give ICE agents access to spying tools like ImmigrationOS and ELITE.1,2 ELITE takes the extraordinary step of pulling in personal data from other government agencies, including Medicaid.3 Then, ICE uses this mountain of data to plan its next violent raid.

    ICE’s use of Palantir’s spying tech is a blatant violation of our right to privacy. Congress must end ICE’s surveillance overreach immediately.

    Palantir’s ELITE app populates a map with potential deportation targets, brings up a dossier on each person, and provides a “confidence score” on the person’s current address — all using data from across government agencies.4

    Senator Ron Wyden said, “The fact ICE is using this app proves the completely indiscriminate nature of the agency's aggressive and violent incursions into our communities. This app allows ICE to find the closest person to arrest and disappear, using government and commercial data, with the help of Palantir and Trump's Big Brother databases.”5

    ICE’s use of this invasive technology is one part of Trump and Palantir’s larger project of building a surveillance database on every American.

    The Trump administration gave Palantir $970 million in government contracts last year, which includes Palantir’s construction of this master database that compiles hundreds of data points, including health, banking, and tax info.6,7

    Palantir is a critical part of Trump’s authoritarian policies. When masked ICE agents raid homes, schools, and workplaces, and kidnap people from their communities, it’s done with the help of Palantir.
