    Block Trump from sending over 20,000 bombs to Israel

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to vote to support joint resolutions of disapproval to block the White House’s unilateral $660 million bomb shipment to Israel.

    Trump is trying to bypass Congress to give Israel more weapons for deadly strikes against Iran and Lebanon. The White House declared an “emergency” to skip Congressional oversight and send over 20,000 bombs to Israel costing U.S. taxpayers $660 million.1

    Senator Bernie Sanders just introduced a resolution to stop Trump’s weapons transfer to Israel, and he’ll push for a vote on the measure as soon as this week.2

    “Given the horrific destruction that Israel’s extremist government has wrought on Gaza, Iran and Lebanon, the last thing in the world that American taxpayers need to do right now is to provide 22,000 new bombs” to Israel, said. Sen. Sanders. “No more weapons to support an illegal war.”3 Congress must stop Trump from fueling Israel’s bombing spree in the Middle East.

    In addition to making the moral case against supplying more bombs for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, Senator Sanders also noted that sending weapons to Israel is a violation of American law — "our government cannot provide weapons to any country that violates internationally recognized human rights or prohibits the delivery of U.S. humanitarian aid."4,5

    Israel is waging a ground invasion in Lebanon, bombing critical energy infrastructure in Iran, and even feuding with Trump. U.S. and Israeli airstrikes have killed thousands in Iran and Lebanon, and displaced millions.

    The U.S. has supported Israel’s violence and destruction in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran with tens of billions of dollars in funding and weapons. This must end. The war must end. Congress must prevent Trump from sending more military aid to Israel.
