    Block Trump’s efforts to slash and destroy Social Security!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to protect and fully fund Social Security. Please oppose all efforts to weaken or privatize Social Security, or raise the retirement age.

    The Trump administration is covertly preparing to cut Social Security benefits. Trump has a plan to delay benefits by 10 years for nearly a million recipients of Social Security disability insurance — a massive cut for people who need their monthly checks.1

    Not all of his plans are a secret: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent openly admitted that Trump’s big budget law includes a “backdoor way for privatizing Social Security.”2 Trump’s head of the Social Security Administration (SSA) said that “everything’s on the table” when asked about raising the retirement age.3

    Trump has claimed over and over again that he won’t touch Social Security. But his administration keeps pushing policies that would ultimately destroy the benefits program. Congress must stop him NOW.

    Raising the retirement age would drastically reduce Social Security benefits for three-quarters of Americans,4 and privatization would destroy the program altogether.

    For months, the Trump administration, DOGE and GOP leaders have taken a sledgehammer to the SSA. When an SSA whistleblower informed the public that DOGE exposed the personal data of hundreds of millions of people, the Trump admin pushed him to resign.5

    The existential threat to Social Security has grown ever-more serious under Trump 2.0. The White House is threatening the very survival of the benefits program that millions of seniors and so many others rely on. Congress must do everything in its power to defend Social Security.
