    Block Trump from weaponizing the government against protesters and political opponents!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to stop the federal government’s targeted persecution of people and organizations exercising their First Amendment rights to protest. Oppose the persecution called for under NSPM-7.

    Trump, Pam Bondi, Stephen Miller, and Kash Patel are using a presidential memo called NSPM-7 to weaponize law enforcement and persecute people and organizations who oppose the authoritarian administration.1

    Using disinformation and wholly fabricated definitions of terrorism, the White House is using NSPM-7 to compile a secret list of so-called "domestic terror" groups.2 The FBI and IRS are now coordinating to investigate nonprofits for ties to "domestic terrorism."3

    Trump is explicitly targeting those who hold so-called "extreme viewpoints on immigration, radical gender ideology, and anti-American sentiment" or have ties to "Antifa."4 In other words, Trump wants to silence dissent — and expressing views against Trump could land someone on a list or in jail. Congress must take immediate action to end these broad attacks on the First Amendment rights to free speech and protest.

    Trump and Bondi are emboldened to go after protesters after a jury recently convicted people for demonstrating against ICE. It’s the first time the federal government charged people they accused of being "Antifa" members with domestic terrorism related crimes. This outcome could open the door for the administration to use these completely spurious accusations to prosecute other protesters.5

    A top DOJ official is reportedly urging department officials to "hound" agents to prosecute NSPM-7 cases. "Go big and go loud," he said.6

    Trump wants to use the full force of the federal government to attack anyone opposing his policies. Congress must take immediate action to protect people from Trump’s violent persecution.
