Keep PragerU away from public education!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to keep PragerU and other disinformation outlets away from public education and partnerships with the federal government.
Trump is partnering with the far-right propaganda outlet PragerU, whose mission is to pump young people with conservative ideology. Their right-wing videos feature people like Clarence Thomas, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens, titles like “What They Haven’t Told You About Climate Change,” and content that pushes Islamophobia and lies about the history of slavery in America.1
Many PragerU videos are targeted at children. And teachers are using PragerU videos in classrooms.
PragerU has gained traction in public school systems across the country, receiving official recognition by state education officials in Florida, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Arizona, and Texas. “What is being presented is right-wing propaganda that has this veneer of ideological neutrality, but in fact it’s acting as a gateway to enter into these other MAGA fever swamps,” said Media Matters.2
After Trump defunded the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, effectively shutting down NPR and PBS, the White House is lifting up dangerous right-wing media. We need to stop this before PragerU becomes the new PBS or is in every classroom in America.

When Trump’s Secretary of Education Linda McMahon introduced the partnership, PragerU played AI-generated videos of the Founding Fathers infused with right-wing talking points straight from the likes of Ben Shapiro.3
Replacing PBS and NPR with right-wing disinformation has been one of the primary objectives of Trump’s war on the media. If Trump and his allies control more of the flow of information online, on TV, and in classrooms, the far-right will have even greater influence on what people believe is the truth.
Our lawmakers must halt any further partnership between the federal government and PragerU.
