Investigate and break up Meta — protect our elections and democracy now!

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to investigate Meta for political censorship, and to enforce antitrust laws to break up the corporation.

Mark Zuckerberg's Meta has funneled money to Trump's inauguration and ballroom funds while the Big Tech company censors progressive causes and politicians.1,2

In just the last month, Meta took down the No Kings instagram account during its latest nationwide mobilization, prevented Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown from posting his election ads, and suppressed Brazilian President Lula's accounts in favor of his far-right challenger.3,4,5

Meta made excuses, but it's clear that Meta has way too much control over social media, the internet, and political advertising. Congress must hold Meta accountable and safeguard democracy!

The No Kings coalition sent a letter to Zuckerberg demanding answers for the censorship during the pro-democracy national day of action last Saturday.6

Sherrod Brown said his Meta ads went "dark with no notice" for an entire weekend with just weeks left until the midterms.7 Lula filed a lawsuit against Meta for suppressing his posts, which a judge upheld just days ago.8

Meta is putting its thumbs on the scales against candidates and causes fighting for freedom, fair elections, and an end to Trumpism.

Zuckerberg's giant corporation, which owns Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, and Threads, has too much control over the internet. Congress must enforce antitrust laws and break up Meta.

Sign the petition: Tell Congress to investigate Meta and break up the mega-corporation for the sake of democracy, a free internet, and our elections.
