Permanent ceasefire in Israel-Palestine and end unconditional aid to Israel!

Petition to President Biden and Congress:
We urge you to call for a permanent ceasefire in the war in Israel-Palestine to protect innocent civilians. We also urge you to vote no on sending unconditional aid to Israel.

Israel has launched airstrikes into Rafah, a densely populated city in Gaza where 1.4 million Palestinians have fled to escape Israel’s bombing campaigns elsewhere in Gaza.1

Now Israel is threatening a ground invasion in Rafah, which would displace, kill, and cut off humanitarian aid like food and water to great numbers of Palestinians — many who’ve already fled their homes.2

Instead of finding diplomatic solutions and de-escalating, Prime Minister Netanyahu has continued relentlessly bombing Gaza — all backed by the weapons and money of the U.S. government.3 President Biden and Congress must change course by calling for an immediate ceasefire and ending unconditional military assistance to Israel.

Sign the petition: Make the choice for peace — President Biden and Congress must stand for a permanent ceasefire in Israel-Palestine and end unconditional aid to Israel!

Hamas's attacks beginning on October 7 must be condemned, but Israel's response has been disproportionate and taken an extraordinary civilian toll. After more than four months of horrific violence that has killed so many innocent people, Congress and the White House must pressure Israel to find a permanent end to this armed conflict. And the U.S. cannot send Israel any more funding without specific conditions to protect Palestinian human rights and safety.

“An Israeli offensive on Rafah would lead to an unspeakable humanitarian catastrophe,” said the European Union’s head of foreign policy. The deaths, loss of humanitarian aid, and intensifying tensions in the region would be a new devastating stage in his already horrific war. President Biden and Congress cannot continue supporting the attacks on civilians in Gaza.
