Sohn would be the tie-breaking vote on the FCC to protect the free and open internet.2 Giant telecom companies have spent millions lobbying against a free and open internet, and Fox News has spread propaganda about Sohn3 — helping to stall her confirmation for over a year. This is urgent: the Senate must confirm Sohn before the end of the year — and we’re in this fight to win back net neutrality.

Comcast is lobbying to protect corporate profits while consumers suffer with lower internet speeds.4 Sohn, if confirmed, would be able to help restore Net Neutrality.5
It’s not just Big telecom companies like Comcast who are against Sohn’s confirmation. It’s Fox News and the GOP, too.6 Their primary goal is to allow corporations to amass huge profits off consumers while leaving all of us with slower internet. Every day that Sohn is not confirmed is a win for companies like Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon.
The giant corporations spending hundreds of millions lobbying against a free and open internet benefit from an FCC that keeps the status quo.7 This corporate greed hurts consumers, leaving many with “spotty, crappy, and expensive” internet.8
The future of the internet is at stake in these next 7 weeks, and we need the Senate to prioritize this confirmation, act before the end of the year, send Gigi Sohn to the FCC, and restore net neutrality.
