No war on Cuba! Pass a war powers resolution NOW.

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to co-sponsor and pass a war powers resolution to stop U.S. military action against Cuba. Americans don’t want another war. We urge you to call for an end to the embargo on Cuba, which is causing a dire humanitarian crisis.

Trump just sent an aircraft carrier and warships toward Cuba, a tactic he used before invading Venezuela and launching a war on Iran.1

Trump is desperately searching for a military win as his disastrous war in Iran drags on. He's demanded the removal of the Cuban president and said he wants to "take" Cuba.2,3 The Trump administration also indicted the former Cuban president Raul Castro for murder this week — another hostile act similar to a Trump move before kidnapping Nicolas Maduro.4

Democrats in the Senate are pushing a war powers resolution to stop Trump from attacking Cuba. It would be yet another illegal, unnecessary military intervention abroad. This time, Congress must act BEFORE Trump goes to war.

"Military action is on the table in a way that it wasn’t before," said a U.S. government official after Trump yet again miscalculated military threats and diplomatic negotiations.5

Americans, and the world, are sick of Trump's wars. Congress has the opportunity, and the constitutional authority, to block Trump from launching strikes on Cuba in the coming days.
