    Block funding for ICE now!

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to vote against the DHS funding bill in order to stop fueling ICE and Border Patrol violence in Minneapolis and across the country.

ICE is a lawless agency carrying out Trump’s violent authoritarian takeover. Congress must end this assault on communities and the Constitution by rejecting billions in additional funding for ICE.

Trump’s immigration authorities are trying to quickly deport 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos after ICE kidnapped Liam and his father in Minnesota and imprisoned them in Texas.1 ICE nearly beat Alberto Castañeda Mondragón to death in St. Paul late last month while he was handcuffed.2 These are just two of the countless horrific stories of ICE’s vicious brutality. There will only be more if Congress fails to take a stand.

Our lawmakers need to feel pressure from their constituents to stop ICE before votes this week!

Sign the petition: Vote NO on new funding for ICE! No more taxpayer dollars for mass deportations.

Over 70,000 people are currently in ICE detention — the most ever. Tens of thousands of people are languishing in abusive prisons with unlivable conditions, including Alligator Alcatraz; Camp East Montana; and Dilley Immigration Processing Center, where Liam was sent with his father.3,4

And ICE is buying up warehouses to turn into mega-prisons for tens of thousands more people. DHS just purchased an old Big Lots distribution center in Pennsylvania to turn into a 7,500-bed prison, and paid $70 million for a building the size of 7 football fields in Phoenix for another detention center.5,6

Congress must cut off ICE’s funding and stop supporting the mass expansion of ICE’s arrests, detentions, and deportations.

Sign the petition: No more funding for lawless ICE raids and hellish immigrant prisons.
