Elon Musk and his team of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) cronies are a serious threat to our entire government — especially Social Security and Medicare.

Musk’s team gained access to a sensitive Treasury Department payment system that doles out $6 trillion per year in government spending, including payments to Americans for Medicare, Social Security, tax refunds, and much more.¹ And this all happened after Musk forced out a career Treasury official who resisted Musk’s requests.²

Musk and his team now have access to the money levers, which gives him tremendous power over the social safety net — which he’s vowed to slash. Congress must exercise their powers to stop this unelected billionaire from gutting Social Security and Medicare.

Musk has promised his DOGE cuts will cause “hardship” for most Americans.³ Every public program and federal agency that benefits the people is on the chopping block as part of Musk’s dangerous right-wing project. Some are already under direct, imminent threats.

"To put it bluntly, these payment systems simply cannot fail, and any politically motivated meddling in them risks severe damage to our country and the economy," Senator Ron Wyden wrote of Musk’s Treasury access.⁴

We can’t let Musk destroy Medicare and Social Security.
