We urge you to call for a permanent ceasefire in Israel-Gaza and cosponsor the resolutions to halt a weapons sale to Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just re-ignited the war on Gaza with airstrikes killing 400 Palestinians.1
This surprise bombing, the deadliest in Gaza since the start of the war, shattered the ceasefire in place since January. Despite the ceasefire, violence against Palestinians was intensifying in the West Bank and Israel had blocked all humanitarian aid to Gaza.2 Now, Netanyahu has resumed Israel’s all out assault on Gaza.
Congress must demand a permanent ceasefire and end all military support to Netanyahu.

U.S. funding continues to support Israel’s violence in Gaza and the West Bank, and the punishment of civilians in need of food, water, and medical aid. Trump is now attempting to bypass Congress to send yet another $11 billion in weapons to Israel.3,4
Trump’s plan to send billions more in weapons to Netanyahu and his recent statements supporting ethnic cleansing were a green light for Israel to intensify its atrocities against Palestinians. And that’s exactly what happened. American support for these horrors must end.
