    Petition to Congress and President Biden:
    We urge you to end funding and weapons shipments to Israel in order to save Palestinian lives, stop an all out war in the Middle East, and broker a ceasefire.

    The Israeli military killed nearly 100 Palestinian civilians in the bombing of a school housing displaced Palestinian families.1 CNN reported that Israel used at least one U.S.-manufactured bomb during the strike.2

    The airstrike was quickly condemned by the European Union, Britain, France, Turkey, and Arab states. Yet, the United States is sending Israel more weapons for its violence in Gaza.3 The State Department notified Congress of a direct sale of 6,500 joint direct action munitions to Israel, even as the Israeli military continues to bomb and kill tens of thousands of Palestinians.4

    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also continues to block a peace deal while he heightens regional tensions in the Middle East that could lead to an all out regional war involving the United States. The U.S. government must end its policy of sending the Israeli military weapons that support the onslaught in Gaza.

    Tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have sought shelter in schools since Israel’s bombing campaign began after October 7. Around 350 families had been sheltering at the school in Gaza before Israel’s airstrike hit and killed nearly 100 people.5

    Hamas' attacks beginning on October 7 must be condemned but Israel's response has been disproportionate and taken an extraordinary civilian toll — all while America has supplied the bombs and funding Israel has used to kill tens of thousands of Palestinians.

    Congress and President Biden must use its leverage to end Netanyahu’s violence and the ever-increasing risk of regional war involving the United States, Israel, Iran and other countries. America must stop funding Israel’s escalations and stop sending bombs to its military.
