    End Trump’s violent ICE raids!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to end mass deportations, violent ICE raids, and the authoritarian tactics of ICE’s masked agents. We urge you to do everything in your power to investigate and shut down vile, inhumane immigrant detention centers, including the one called “Alligator Alcatraz.”

    Masked ICE agents are ramping up violence in Chicago and Portland with impunity.1 Trump’s federal forces are slamming protesters to the ground, abducting people from vehicles, shooting a pastor with pepper balls, and arresting whoever they feel like.2,3

    Recently, ICE conducted a horrific military-style raid on a Chicago apartment building, detaining and questioning every single resident, separating children from their families, and spreading terror through an entire community.4 Federal agents have turned a quiet Chicago suburb, Broadview, IL, into a “chaotic, militarized town.”5

    Trump’s armed gangs continue spreading this terror through Chicago, Portland, and other cities across the country. The White House will continue to escalate its violent, far-right invasions and deportation dragnet. Congress must stop this horrific, illegal siege on the people now.

    An Illinois immigration rights organization said ICE violence could be just the tip of the iceberg. "People being tackled, people getting pepper sprayed or tear gassed. We've seen people getting threatened. And we've seen at least two incidents involving gunfire."6

    The White House is so dedicated to this authoritarian project that the Trump administration has reassigned a quarter of FBI agents to immigration enforcement to assist in this violent campaign.7 It’s clear that the Trump regime will do everything it can to come after immigrants and people opposing its authoritarian agenda.

    Congress must finally take action to protect immigrants and all communities from violent ICE terror.
