    Investigate Trump’s ballroom and get Trump’s name off the Kennedy Center!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to investigate funding for the White House ballroom for any corruption between corporate donors and the government. We urge you to call to remove Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center. And we urge you to reject any attempt to put Trump on Mount Rushmore, currency, airports, national landmarks, and monuments.

    Trump's sycophants slapped Trump's name on the Kennedy Center, an illegal glorification of an authoritarian.1 And one lawmaker is suing, saying only an act of Congress can change the name.2

    Trump is remaking America in his image — a serious danger to our democracy.

    Another one of Trump's vanity projects is a $300 million gold-plated White House ballroom. Senator Elizabeth Warren is demanding an investigation into corporate corruption at the center of the ballroom's funding.3 Congress must stop Trump's self-serving law-breaking NOW!

    Joe Kennedy III, the great-nephew of President John F. Kennedy, said, "The Kennedy Center is a living memorial to a fallen president and named for President Kennedy by federal law. It can no sooner be renamed than can someone rename the Lincoln Memorial."4

    Trump put on a grotesque military parade on his birthday, paved over the Rose Garden, and destroyed the East Wing of the White House to make space for his ballroom. The White House and Trump's loyalists in Congress want to put his name and face on just about everything — money, airports, a new class of U.S. battleships, and Mount Rushmore.5,6

    Giant corporations like Amazon, Lockheed Martin, Comcast, Google, Palantir, and Meta have ponied up millions to fund the ballroom.7 These companies all have profitable contracts with the government or key deals under review by the Trump administration. Sen. Warren said, "Americans shouldn't have to wonder whether President Trump is building a ballroom to facilitate a pay-to-play scheme for political favors."8

    It's time to end Trump's glorification projects and protect the rule of law.
