Tell Congress to ban totalitarian AI-powered surveillance cameras like Flock

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to ban Flock, Axon, and other companies' network of invasive ALPR surveillance cameras. Law enforcement are using Flock's cameras to infringe on privacy rights, discriminate, and target people based on First Amendment protected speech and protest.

Flock, Axon, and other AI-powered tech companies operate a mass network of surveillance cameras across the country. Last week, their CEOs refused to testify in front of Congress after being called to respond to widespread, bipartisan complaints over their mass violation of our constitutional rights.1

Leaked footage recently revealed that Flock trained law enforcement on how to surveil No Kings protesters.2 This aggressive, targeted spying violates our First and Fourth Amendment rights, and feeds directly into Trump's mass surveillance state.

These automatic license plate reader (ALPR) companies are profiting from an Orwellian spy network that is ensnaring millions of Americans and subjecting us to illegal, warrantless surveillance without our knowledge or consent. Demand Progress is leading a coalition to fight to protect people from this egregious violation of our rights.

Flock's 120,000 ALPR cameras track people to their jobs, dates, homes, doctor's appointments, places of worship, and everywhere in between.3

This spying is a grave policing overreach. Flock data is even helping ICE hunt people down. Police officers have abused Flock data in over 100 documented cases, including to stalk romantic interests.4

The refusal of top surveillance CEOs to appear before Congress was a cowardly attempt to avoid accountability. These executives are showing clear contempt for the concerns of the American people.

We deserve to know what information Flock, Axon, and other companies are collecting alongside law enforcement and how they're using our data. Our lawmakers must join the bipartisan push for a nationwide ban on Flock.
