Rep. Thomas Massie announced that he will force a vote to impeach Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.1
Reps. Massie and Yassamin Ansari have filed articles of impeachment against Hegseth with a long list of charges that include leading the illegal war on Iran, executing a campaign of extrajudicial killings as the military bombs boats in the Caribbean, aiding Trump's crusade against political enemies, and much more.2,3
The vote will come soon after the midterms, and the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee just backed the effort to impeach Hegseth.4 Now, we need all of our lawmakers to support holding Hegseth accountable for his horrific actions.

Hegseth has overseen atrocities like the U.S. military's bombing of a girls' school in Iran that killed over 170 civilians, a majority of whom were children, on the first day of Trump's war on Iran.5
He's repeatedly made horrific, illegal threats. In March, he said, "We will keep pushing, keep advancing, no quarter, no mercy for our enemies," which is a call to commit war crimes and violate international law.6
Last year, Hegseth gave a "kill everybody" order during an airstrike on a boat in the Caribbean. U.S. forces then launched a second strike on the boat that killed defenseless survivors.7 Hegseth and Trump continue these deadly, extrajudicial boat bombings to this day.8
Hegseth has helped Trump throw the U.S. and the world into chaos with illegal wars, threats of war crimes, and unconscionable airstrikes. Our Representatives must uphold our laws and hold Hegseth accountable.
