Impeach Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito!

    Petition to the U.S. House:
We urge you to impeach Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

Samuel Alito has refused to recuse himself from a case that could hand Big Oil a big win, even though Alito has investments in seven oil and gas companies.1 It's a clear conflict of interest and the latest disgraceful corruption on the Supreme Court.

Alito and Clarence Thomas have been embroiled in years of ethics and financial scandals that include undisclosed, free luxury travel from Republican donors, webs of conservative dark money, and lavish gifts from corporate executives.2

Their right-wing corruption and connections to Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 election results are dire risks to our democracy ahead of the midterms. The House must act with urgency to remove Alito and Thomas from the highest court.

If Alito remains on the Big Oil case, Boulder, he could help block community efforts to hold oil and gas corporations accountable for climate harms that the companies knew their fossil fuels would cause.3

And after ruling to gut the Voting Rights Act, how conservative justices rule on other key 2026 and 2028 election cases is of the utmost concern. Clarence Thomas's wife was involved in efforts to overturn the 2020 election.4 Alito had a Stop the Steal style flag flying over his house and he taught a law seminar with a fringe election denier just days after the insurrection.5,6

The Supreme Court is supposed to be fair and independent, but Thomas, Alito, and Trump have made it into a hyper-partisan rubber-stamp for MAGA. Our elected leaders need to take a stand and upend SCOTUS.
