Investigate deaths in ICE custody and shut down abusive ICE prisons!

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to investigate deaths in ICE custody, take immediate action to stop any more deaths in ICE detention, and shut down vile, inhumane ICE prisons.

ICE is killing people in the streets and in its prisons.

At least 32 people died in ICE custody last year, the deadliest year in immigration detention in more than two decades.1

At least 4 people died in ICE custody in just the first nine days of 2026.2 That number doesn’t include ICE’s murder of Renee Good in Minneapolis.

ICE is making neighborhoods across the country less safe and throwing tens of thousands of people in its torture prisons. Abuse and inhumane conditions are well-documented across ICE detention centers — from Alligator Alcatraz to longstanding immigrant prisons throughout the country. Congress must investigate all of these deaths and end ICE’s reign of terror.

Sign the petition: Hold ICE accountable and close dangerous ICE prisons NOW!

The propaganda arm of ICE continues to claim federal immigration prisons are exemplary facilities. The reality, documented by human rights organizations like the ACLU and Human Rights Watch, is that ICE’s dangerous prisons have poor medical services, inhumane sanitation conditions, and insufficient food, among other abusive conditions.

ICE currently holds a record 66,000+ detainees in its prisons, and the agency wants to further expand its facilities to warehouse-like “mega detention centers.”3,4

Our lawmakers must fight back against the White House’s vicious detention centers NOW.

Sign the petition: Investigate Trump’s ICE prisons! End the deaths in ICE custody and the horrible treatment of people in immigrant detention.
