Trump has launched renewed strikes against Iran’s civilian infrastructure for 10 consecutive days, destroying bridges, hospitals, power plants, water and food facilities, and more.¹

Since Trump restarted his war on July 15, U.S. attacks have killed at least 50 Iranians and wounded 500. The Pentagon confirmed that three U.S. soldiers have been killed and nearly 100 wounded in the last two weeks alone.² This is a horrific and seemingly endless war.³

In Congress, Senate Democrats took a major stand against Trump's war last week, voting against a key $1.15 trillion defense spending bill in a direct rebuke of Trump's continued attacks on Iran. Now, Congress is considering a war powers resolution to help finally put an end to the Iran war. Our lawmakers must take a clear stand for peace.

The war on Iran has already cost U.S. taxpayers $100 billion in direct military spending.⁴ It has also cost average Americans much more in jacked up prices on gas and other necessities. And Trump and Republicans in Congress are demanding even more funding for their war.

The Senate and House passed resolutions in June that pushed the White House to broker a temporary peace deal. Now that Trump's airstrikes have resumed, Congress must refuse all funding for the war and pass a war powers resolution to finally put it to an end.
