    Block legislation to merge the U.S. and Israeli militaries!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to oppose the "United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative" in the National Defense Authorization Act.

    Israel's attacks on Gaza have killed at least 1,296 Palestinians since the so-called "ceasefire" last October.1 Itamar Ben-Gvir, a top Israeli minister, recently called for the murder of 40 Palestinians every day, saying, "they are not people."2

    The U.S. government has backed Israel's genocide in Gaza at every turn. Now, Congress is on the verge of passing a shadowy measure to irreversibly merge the U.S. and Israeli militaries.3

    This provision would take America’s wholesale funding and weapons support for Israel to new levels. Senator Bernie Sanders is leading the charge to stop it.4

    The "United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative" provision in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) calls for the U.S. and Israel to co-produce weapons, coordinate AI tech for war, and meld together the U.S.-Israeli military-industrial complex. It would also eliminate any oversight, hiding U.S. funding, weapons, and intelligence support for Israel out of public view.5,6

    As Congress nears a final decision on this measure, the House Democratic Caucus appointed pro-Israel hawk Rep. Jared Moskowitz to lead a key House Foreign Affairs Committee on the Middle East. Rep. Moskowitz then pledged to strengthen America's relationship with Israel.7 As Israel commits horrific atrocities in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, this appointment is disgraceful.

    A recent Demand Progress poll found that a majority of voters, including 78% of Democrats and 73% of independents, oppose giving Israeli military companies special access to U.S. military systems, tech, and supply chains.8

    Our lawmakers must listen to their constituents and oppose more U.S. support for Israel's military.
