Block legislation to merge the U.S. and Israeli militaries!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to oppose the "United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative" in the National Defense Authorization Act. We urge you to demand that the House and Senate Armed Services Committee members negotiating the final NDAA act immediately to strip Section 219/Section 1217 from the bill. If the provision remains, commit to voting NO on final passage of the NDAA.
Senator Bernie Sanders is leading a charge with other Senate Democrats to block a shadowy measure to merge the U.S. and Israeli militaries.
The "United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative" would take America’s wholesale funding and weapons support for Israel to new levels — allowing the U.S. and Israel to co-produce weapons, coordinate AI tech for war, and meld together the U.S.-Israeli military-industrial complex.1
The House has passed a version of the must-pass National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) with this U.S.-Israel provision, but the Senate has yet to pass their own version because of Democratic opposition.
So, leaders from both parties in the House and Senate are gathering right now to negotiate what will be in the final NDAA. That's why it's a critical time to pressure lawmakers to put a stop to this extreme Israeli military provision.

Israel is escalating its strikes on southern Lebanon right now, killing dozens since last week — including twelve people in one attack after the IDF bombed a residential building. Israel's latest strikes killed at least four women, two children, and one paramedic.2
Israel's attacks on Gaza have killed at least 1,352 Palestinians since the so-called "ceasefire" last October.3 Israel's onslaught on the people of Lebanon rages on despite another "ceasefire" in name only.
The pro-Israel NDAA measure would decrease oversight on U.S. backing of the Israeli military — hiding U.S. funding, weapons, and intelligence support for Israel out of public view.4
A recent Demand Progress poll found that a majority of voters, including 78% of Democrats and 73% of independents, oppose giving Israeli military companies special access to U.S. military systems, tech, and supply chains.5
Our lawmakers must listen to their constituents and oppose more U.S. support for Israel's military.
