No war with Iran!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to use your war powers to stop any U.S. military action against Iran.
Israel launched airstrikes against Tehran and other parts of Iran — bombing civilian areas and military targets.1 Israel’s aggression is a critically dangerous escalation in Middle East hostilities, and another deadly attack on civilians. The attack also killed Iran’s top diplomatic negotiator, days before Iran and the U.S. were set to meet to discuss a deal relating to Iran’s nuclear program.2
Congress cannot continue to let Trump enable Netanyahu’s warmaking, and our elected leaders must prevent U.S. airstrikes on Iran. Our Representatives and Senators must speak up for diplomacy. Congress must reassert its war powers and stop the slide toward another disastrous, unpopular war.

Rep. Greg Casar said that Trump "must not violate the Constitution by involving American troops in Netanyahu's war without coming to Congress." The chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus added that, "Netanyahu's reckless strike risks provoking a wider war and pulling in the United States." He urged the White House to continue pursuing diplomacy.3
America’s War Powers belong to Congress, and no matter how much Trump and Pete Hegseth support strikes against Iran, the House and Senate have the power to stop it. Congress must use that power to prevent the U.S. military from going to war with Iran.
