Block Trump's persecution of protestors and political opponents under NSPM-7!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to stop the federal government’s targeted persecution of people and organizations exercising their First Amendment rights to protest. We urge you to oppose the persecution called for under NSPM-7, and to oppose increased funding for counterterrorism initiatives to carry out NSPM-7.
Kash Patel's FBI is leading a government-wide effort to target so-called "domestic terrorists" under NSPM-7 — an overly broad national security memo designed to persecute anyone who disagrees with Trump's authoritarian agenda.1
The FBI-led effort will proactively identify "domestic terrorists," vaguely defined as anyone holding "extremist" positions on race, gender or migration, expressing views hostile to "traditional American" families or religion, or showing support for "anti-capitalism."2
Trump is trying to expand the reach and powers of his authoritarian police forces to punish protesters and silence political opposition. Congress must stop this attack on the First Amendment.

The government recently convicted a group of anti-ICE demonstrators, claiming they were part of an "Antifa" terror cell because they did things like use Signal and wear black clothing.3 Prosecutions like this are a stain on the U.S. Constitution, and are meant to strike fear into all protestors.
"Domestic terror" investigations are already up 300% under Trump and Patel.4 And now Trump is asking for a massive increase in counterterrorism funding to fuel his assault on political dissent.
Freedom of speech and the right to protest are cornerstones of our democracy. Trump’s regime is a serious threat to these fundamental liberties. Congress must deny the White House expanded funding for political persecution.
