    Block Trump's persecution of protestors and political opponents under NSPM-7!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to stop the federal government’s targeted persecution of people and organizations exercising their First Amendment rights to protest. We urge you to oppose the persecution called for under NSPM-7, and to oppose increased funding for counterterrorism initiatives to carry out NSPM-7.

    Kash Patel's FBI is leading a push to punish people who oppose Trump's authoritarian policies.1 And Trump wants Congress to fund this dangerous unconstitutional abuse of federal law enforcement powers.2

    Under NSPM-7 — an overly broad national security memo — the administration is dramatically expanding the definition of "domestic terrorist" to include people with mainstream views that differ from Trump's extreme far-right agenda. The definition includes anyone expressing views hostile to "traditional American" families or religion, or showing support for "anti-capitalism."3

    The White House is demanding taxpayer dollars to target, jail, and prosecute protesters in order to silence political opposition. Congress must stop this attack on the First Amendment.

    Trump has targeted journalists, media outlets, pro-Palestinian protesters, people involved in investigating his attempt to overturn the 2020 election, Democratic-led cities, and many others. Last week, his DOJ even secured another completely ridiculous indictment against James Comey — all part of Trump's feverish campaign to punish his enemies.4

    NSPM-7 is already a threat to everyone in the U.S. "Domestic terror" investigations are up 300% under Trump and Patel.5 Congressional funding to further expand the powers of Trump's authoritarian police forces would be a disaster for our civil liberties. Our lawmakers must say NO.
