Block the Trump-backed Paramount media takeover!

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to block Paramount's deal to buy Warner Brothers. The merger violates antitrust laws, would hurt consumers, artists, and press freedom, and poses serious ethical and national security concerns.

A federal court just put Paramount's $111 billion mega-merger with Warner Bros on hold, a major win for consumers, artists, journalistic independence, and free speech.1

A judge temporarily blocked the deal on antitrust grounds, forcing Paramount to officially pause the merger — for now.2

Paramount's CEO David Ellison has done a lot to cozy up to the Trump administration, including holding a dinner honoring Trump.3 The Ellisons and Bari Weiss have turned CBS news into a pro-Trump propaganda machine, and have pledged to do the same if they gain control of Warner Brothers-owned CNN.4 Congress must stop Paramount's MAGA media takeover.

Sign the petition: Block Paramount from extending its pro-Trump media empire — stop the CNN, Warner Brothers takeover now!

Paramount installed right-wing Bari Weiss at CBS. She ruined 60 Minutes, turning journalism into MAGA propaganda with the full backing of David Ellison.

A former 60 Minutes reporter even said that Weiss pressured her to include misinformation and right-wing political bias in news segments.

Trump has relentlessly threatened comedians, journalists, and news networks for reporting the news or making jokes at his expense. It's straight from the authoritarian playbook, and will get even worse if Trump's allies at Paramount take over Warner Brothers and CNN.

After a critical victory in the fight against Paramount, we must ramp up the pressure on our lawmakers to do everything in their power to stop Trump's propaganda machine from growing.
