Trump’s war on Iran is deadly, destructive, and wholly unpredictable. The U.S. has started another war that could bring years of horror and chaos to the Middle East.

Trump said the military has the “capability to go far longer” than the five week campaign the White House initially planned.¹ Trump won’t rule out a ground invasion of Iran, which would put Iranian civilians, American service members, and the stability of the entire Middle East in even greater danger. And he said the “big wave” of attacks on Iran is still to come.²

Congress can end Trump’s lawless violence as the Senate prepares to vote TOMORROW on a war powers resolution.³ Our lawmakers must urgently take a stand against this war and stop further military action in Iran.

After Trump’s missiles hit Iran, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said, “The American people are once again dragged into a war they did not want by a president who does not care about the long-term consequences of his actions. This war is unlawful. It is unnecessary. And it will be catastrophic.”⁴

Trump has defied domestic and international law to inflict violence on thousands across America, Iran, Venezuela, and beyond. Congress must assert its constitutional authority and stop Trump’s vicious, illegal war.
