Tell Congress to bring back and pass the Postal Banking Act!

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to pass postal banking legislation and protect the USPS and the communities it serves!

The United States Postal Service is a crucial part of our daily lives. But under Trump-appointed Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the USPS has gotten slower, prices have gone up, and post office locations around the country have closed.1

We can’t keep letting DeJoy erode services at the Post Office.

But the good news is Congress and President Biden have the ability to strengthen the USPS and help 7 million unbanked Americans: postal banking. This would enable consumers in need of core banking services to open bank accounts right at their local postal office.2

Sign the petition: Urge Congress to pass postal banking legislation!

DeJoy claimed the price hikes and consolidation (read: closing) of postal offices would provide more revenue, but the reality is that he’s not delivering on the huge increase he promised.

Installing postal banking services at local post offices would help over 7 million families open accounts in accessible locations, keeping them safe from predatory lenders or major banks that often charge exorbitant fees and interest rates.3

If DeJoy has it his way, prices will keep going up and locations will keep closing, which hurts consumers and workers.4 It’s imperative that Congress take swift action to support our USPS and provide communities with the resources they need, including postal banking.

Add your name: Congress must pass postal banking legislation.
