Keep Trump's ICE and federal troops away from polling places!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to pass the Protect Our Polls Act to keep armed federal agents and military forces away from polling places.
Trump says he's willing to send ICE and National Guard troops to polling places in November, an obvious scheme to intimidate voters.1
When asked about deploying his far-right security forces on Election Day, Trump said, "I would do anything necessary to make sure we have honest elections."2 It echoes Steve Bannon's call for ICE to "surround the polls" during the midterms.3 And it fits Trump's authoritarian push to rig the midterms any way he can.
Democratic Senators just introduced the Protect Our Polls Act to prevent armed military and federal agents from terrorizing polling places.4 Congress must urgently pass the bill and stop Trump’s strongman voter suppression.

Trump fired independent election monitors, installed election deniers in key administration positions, threatened criminal charges against states who don't follow his anti-democratic election orders, and launched an all-out attack on mail voting — moves that present direct threats to our elections.5,6
ICE has shot and killed at least 11 people during Trump's second term.7 ICE and CBP have terrorized communities across the country, arrested tens of thousands of people, and instilled fear wherever they go. Sending armed ICE agents to the polls would cause complete chaos on Election Day, and that's exactly what Trump wants.
Congress must protect voters and our elections from ICE right away.
