Reject GOP attacks on Social Security!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to reject any proposal to cap Social Security benefits and instead support legislation that expands Social Security by requiring the wealthy to pay taxes into Social Security at the same rate as the rest of us.
Republicans are pushing their latest plan to slash Social Security.
Instead of closing tax loopholes that benefit billionaires like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg so that we can expand Social Security benefits, Wall Street's new big idea is to cap benefits.
Trump and DOGE gutted the Social Security Administration.1 Senator Elizabeth Warren said recently that "Trump is taking a sledgehammer to Social Security."2 Congress must stop these attacks on critical benefits and reject the GOP's latest attempt to cut Social Security.

The current Social Security tax limits allow millionaires and billionaires to pay Social Security taxes on only the first $175,000 of annual income. Bezos, Musk, and Zuckerberg clear the income limit in the first days of any given year and then stop paying Social Security taxes.
It's no surprise that Bezos's Washington Post editorial board and Wall Street executives have jumped at the chance to endorse the latest Republican plan to cap Social Security benefits.3
Trump's DOGE fired thousands of employees, closed field offices, shut down critical customer service lines, and made it harder for people with disabilities to receive benefits.4
It's time to end this all-out attack on everyday Americans and the Social Security benefits they rely on.
