Demand the release of the Global Sumud Flotilla crew and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza!

Petition to Congress and the Trump administration:
We urge you to do everything in your power to guarantee the release of the crews of the Global Sumud Flotilla who were sailing to Gaza to deliver food aid to starving Palestinians.

The Israeli navy intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla that was sailing to Gaza to deliver desperately needed humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.1

Israel has intercepted, raided, and attacked aid flotillas in the past. This time, though, a plan presented by Israel’s National Security Minister threatens flotilla activists with prolonged prison detentions under harsh conditions with no access to basic necessities or outside communication.2

Any interception or attack on the flotilla’s crew is potentially a grave violation of international law. International law maintains that Israel’s blockade amounts to illegal collective punishment. This Flotilla was the moral, necessary response to inaction in the face of genocide. And now our leaders must protect the humanitarians arrested by Israel and ensure food can reach the starving people of Gaza.

Sign the petition: Tell Congress and the Trump administration to guarantee the safety of the Sumud Flotilla crews. Protect humanitarians and ensure aid reaches Gaza!

Israel’s aid blockade has caused a famine in Gaza, leading to mass death and suffering from starvation and malnutrition. The UN warns that over 500,000 Palestinians face catastrophic hunger.3 And Israel has killed more than 3,000 aid seekers in Gaza who were trying to get the food, water, and medical help they need to survive.4

The Flotilla carried international humanitarians, elected officials, activists, and lawyers from over 40 countries risking their safety to feed the 2 million people facing starvation. Now, our government must protect their safety, international law, and justice.
