Stop Trump's corrupt dealings with foreign governments — block weapons sales to Qatar and UAE!
Petition to the U.S. Senate:
We urge you to support the effort to block weapons sales to Qatar and the UAE due to Trump's corrupt dealings with both countries, and the UAE's involvement in the Sudanese Civil War.
In response to Trump’s plan to accept a $400 million “free” jet from Qatar, Senator Chris Murphy is forcing a vote on arms sales to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Both countries are trying to influence the White House with gifts to Trump and favorable treatment of Trump family businesses.1
The unprecedented move to accept the Qatari jet without congressional approval is plainly unconstitutional.2
The U.S. Senate has a responsibility to end all corrupt dealings between Trump, his family, and foreign governments. Blocking arm sales to countries cozying up to Trump is a critical step towards stemming this corruption.

Qatar’s “palace in the sky” gift, and Trump deciding to use it for Air Force One, raises serious ethical and security concerns. Sen. Murphy said, “Donald Trump is selling off America’s foreign policy and national security to the highest bidder and isn’t even bothering to cover it up.”3
Sen. Murphy’s planned vote targets UAE too because of UAE’s $2 billion investment in Trump’s cryptocurrency venture.4
Trump’s blatant defiance of the rule of law, again, and his entanglements with foreign governments are a threat to our democracy. The Senate needs to stop weapons sales to Qatar and UAE in response to this corruption.
