Tell Congress to support Bernie Sanders's effort to block $20 billion weapons sale to Israel!

Petition to Congress:
I urge you to vote YES on S.J.Res.111, S.J.Res.113, and S.J.Res.115 to stop certain offensive arms sales to Israel. It's a crucial and necessary step to end the war on Gaza. I also ask that you advocate for de-escalation in the region rather than retaliation against Iran.

Congress will vote this week on whether to send $20 billion of weapons to Israel in support of its war against the people of Gaza.

The Biden administration gave Israel 30 days to "surge all forms of humanitarian assistance throughout Gaza" or else further U.S. weapons shipments could be blocked. That deadline has come and gone without Israel getting humanitarian assistance to Palestinians, but so far our leaders have taken no action to hold Israel accountable.¹ Congress must act and block weapons sales to Israel NOW.

During the election, Trump told Netanyahu to “do what you have to do” on the battlefield.² “I think he’s basically going to give Netanyahu a blank check,” said former defense secretary Leon Panetta about Trump.³

If Congress supports Bernie Sanders’s legislation to block this $20 billion weapons sale, it will send a message to Netanyahu and Trump that lawmakers will not give Israel all the weapons and funding it wants to continue killing civilians in Gaza and Lebanon. Senators Warren and Van Hollen have joined Bernie Sanders’s effort to block the sale,⁴ but we need more support in Congress immediately.

Trump is ready to further intensify U.S. support for Netanyahu's wars, so Congress must send a clear message to the Israeli leader right away.
